Having watched his grandfather and uncle work the family land and get sick from all of the chemicals they used, Raphael Saint-Cyr immediately transitioned the farm to organic when he took over in 2008. This fourth-generation vigneron has made other astute decisions as well, such as buying more northerly vineyards before it was clear how much warmer the region was getting. His ‘La Galoche’ cuvee and its delightful color allude to the gentle hand he uses in the winery, retaining vibrance in the cherry and raspberry fruit along with the fresh picked violets on the finish.
