The Ménard-Gaborit estate was established in 1734, although the Ménard family didn’t bottle their first vintage until 1947. Today, the estate has grown to just over 180 acres and is managed by 5th generation Philippe and Thierry Ménard who take pride in continuing the family’s long legacy in Muscadet.  ‘1ère Escale’ is aged on the lees for 3 months to preserve the minerality and freshness while providing some additional weight and texture. This is a classic rendition of Melon de Bourgogne with elegant floral aromas and flavors of citrus fruit, salty sea air, and plenty of bright acidity.
