A colheita is a tawny Port from a single vintage that spends a minimum of seven years in barrel before bottling. At Quinta do Infantado all of their wines are single quinta Ports, meaning all of the fruit is estate-grown and the finished wines are bottled on their property. In fact, they were the first to bottle their own Port independently, making wines that reflect their terroir by adding less spirit and producing a slightly drier style. Their colheita spends nine years maturing in barrel, during which the wine develops rich flavors of caramel and toffee, balanced by citrus notes of candied orange rind with a nutty finish.

Pairings:
Salted chocolate caramels
